Mr. Rau’s 12th grade participation in government class received a lesson from Mr. Knowlton on how to make a podcast. The class is working on their Project Soapbox Issues podcast to help them earn their Seal of Civic Readiness by sharing out information relevant to the current election. Some of the Podcasts will be played on the FAB news before the election. The equipment used to record was part of last year’s Participatory Budget project, where students voting on how to improve the school made this investment. This project also helped 99 seniors earn their Seal of Civic Readiness, while learning how to research and make budgetary decision in government.
