We are thrilled to share some exciting highlights from our recent alumni. We had the honor of connecting with former students who have successfully continued their paths in the education field.
It’s always a joy to witness the lasting impact our alumni make in their communities and to inspire the next generation of students at the High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI).
Recently, Ms. Moreira had the wonderful opportunity to visit several middle schools by attending high school fairs and doing presentations about HSFI. When she engaged with enthusiastic alumni, these inspiring individuals shared their journeys since graduating from HSFI, reflecting on their experiences at HSFI and how they shaped their careers and pursue education.
Their stories deeply resonated with middle school students, highlighting the various paths one can pursue after graduating from HSFI. By exploring fields like fashion, art, photography, software development, and business, they serve as mentors to aspiring creatives. They emphasized the invaluable skills they gained at HSFI—creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration—that continue to enhance their professional journeys.
One alumnus currently working in admissions at P.S. 20, a middle school in the Bronx, shared the joy of nurturing creativity in young minds. Another alumnus from the Mirabal Sisters Campus in Washington Height discusses experiences in developing innovative fashion programs that provide students with hands-on learning opportunities. These stories highlighted the enduring spirit of HSFI, embodied by our alumni, who are actively involved in shaping the next generation.
As we celebrate these connections, we encourage our current students to seize every opportunity, stay connected with HSFI, and aspire to make a difference in their chosen fields.
The alumni network is a testament to the incredible potential that lies within the HSFI community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Moreira for her dedication to bridging the gap between our past and present students. We look forward to more such events that strengthen our community and inspire future leaders.
