The Class of 2028’s NOVEMBER attendance All Star is ELISE COLUMBIA

Q: What’s your major and why did you choose it?

· My major is fashion. I chose fashion because I have always liked designing outfits and when I found out I could learn how to make my designs at school I thought it would be really fun.

Q: Where are you commuting from and how do you get to school on time?

· I’m commuting from Harlem; I make sure to get to school on time by leaving with extra time in case something happens with the train.

Q: Why is coming to school important to you?

· I don’t want to miss anything in class, and I want to have an out to lunch pass.

Q: How can having great attendance help prepare students for the real world?

· It would look bad if you came late to a job interview, but if you get in the habit of coming late to school, you might start coming late to everything.

Q: What are some of the challenges you've had to overcome in attaining great attendance?

· Walking up six flights of stairs instead of waiting for the elevator.

Q: Is there anyone (family member/loved one/public figure) you look up to who gives you the motivation to come to class on time?

· My dad because he always says early is on time and on time is late.

Q: What advice would you give to someone struggling with getting to school on time every day?

· If you have a time to leave and you are always leaving late, changing your leaving time to ten minutes earlier that way you if you’re running late to leave your house, you’re not actually running late to school.
