During Mr. Lubrano and Ms. Donlon's physical education class they reinvented the basketball shooting game of 531. Instead of shooting the ball from the top of the key and chasing the rebound for a second shot and ending with a lay-up they had students choose where they felt their skills would be best served. If they make a three-point shot, they will earn a hockey puck, a free throw deems a birdie, and a lay-up earns a cone. Students would collect their prize and return to the group. At the end of six minutes the group that has the most points wins. A puck is worth five points, a birdie three points and cone one point. The classes then competed against each other with Mr. Lubrano's class winning out. The game did have some strategies in which the student has to use their success skills to problem solve and communicate as a team.
