Working on mood boards to represent feelings through color.
Future is looking bright! ✨ Last Friday, our HSFI students crushed an exclusive series of focus groups with the Jordan Design team. They shared their style insights with industry leaders Christopher Bevans (Senior Director of Apparel Excellence Jordan Design) and Louisa Page (Senior Director of Jordan Global Footwear Design Excellence)!

Huge thanks to the Nike footwear product test team, Nihal Hameed and Claudio Campos, for connecting our students with the pros (and for the amazing Jordan gear! 👟)

Getting up close and personal with biology! Our students are honing their observational skills by learning to properly use microscopes. This hands-on experience allows them to explore the intricate structures that make up living organisms, from the smallest bacteria to complex tissue samples. It's truly eye-opening! 👀

Physics in motion! 🏃💨
Our physics class is officially in the Mechanics unit! Students hit the floor to collect data for our "Walk the Line" Lab. Our students used their own steps to measure distance vs. displacement. It turns out speed and velocity are two totally different things when you start moving in two directions! In this 2D challenge, they had to use the Pythagorean theorem to find their resultant displacement after traveling East and South. Great work applying geometry to real-world vector problems!
