What is an HBCU?
Historically Black Colleges and Universities, better known as HBCUs "offer all students, regardless of race, an opportunity to develop their skills and talents."
There are 101 Accredited HBCU's in the United States.
Where are HBCUs located?
HBCUs range in enrollment requirements, size, and geographic location. The list of all accredited HBCUs is HERE.
Applying
Students will apply to individual schools through that school's application, Common App, or Black Common App. Check with the schools of your choice to see their admission requirements and application information.
We suggest applying through Common App if the schools are available on the application.
